This is one of my favorite rice recipes handed alongside to me from my mother-in-law. It is the tastiest rice I have ever had and my family is always wanting me to make it as a side dish later than dinner. We will even eat the leftovers for breakfast. I usually promote this as soon as a meat dish or tacos.

The ingredient of unexpected Mushroom Rice

  1. 2 (14.5 ounce) cans chicken broth
  2. 2 cups converted rice (such as Uncle Bensu00ae)
  3. 1 (4 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces
  4. u00bd cup water
  5. 6 green onions, chopped
  6. 2 teaspoons butter, or to taste

The instruction how to make unexpected Mushroom Rice

  1. count up broth, rice, mushrooms, water, green onions, and butter in a large pot or Dutch oven on top of higher than medium-high heat. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. cut off surgically remove from heat and let stand until liquid is absorbed, very nearly 5 minutes.
